| Nas – Be A Nigger Too Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I just did some research about the Eminem thing, which is a pretty shady story anyway. (He was freestyling about his black ex-girlfriend and it slipped). Anyway, it's hard to interpret Nas' view on it. He calls him a friend but then a cracker too, so I'm wondering if he's getting back at him or if he's really okay with him. | |
| This Day & Age – The Bell And The Hammer Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Wow-Can't believe nobody has commented on this one yet. I think this song is about Jeff's unhappiness with living on the road. Especially the last part, "Oh how they need me (it's not me they need." I love TDAA. They will be missed. |

Whoever thinks I AM THE MOVIE is better than CTTM...youre fucking insane. It's got everything a good cd should have. It's my top 5. Anyways, this song just does it for me. It almost makes me cry. MCS' lyrics have no equal and this song is proof. AMAZING stuff. "you're the leaky sink of sentiment you're the failed attempts i never could forget you're the metaphors i can't create to comprehend this curse that i call love" ...Need i say more? It's got the casual shit..."feed the gerbals" all of that and then things that are beyong words. Too deep for clarification. It's a masterpiece of a song. |

| Brand New – The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think this song (which by the way is beautiful and...completely FUCKING amazing) is about a guy-girl situation of course. He blocks his own shot - meaning: he had it all sort of. He finally got the girl he wanted, but screwed up. Went after another. The girl isn't sure what she wants though. Of course she has feelings for him, but she's playing games. She wants him to feel as bad as he's made her feel. So she might forgive him, but in the same token won't talk to or will yell at him. But also the "cold as a tomb" part. He still sleeps with her. He feels terrible for doing so, but does it anyway. She loves him, so she lets it all happen. There ya go, my interpretation. At least how it all happened for me, roles reversed. Great song. Great band. |
