Great song, of course all their songs are great. Pretty obvious song really, He made a huge mistake in his relationship, now he's feeling the regret. Very meaningful, I especially like the: "I Can't believe that I threw away all our dreams, I can't believe now that you're gone how much you mean to me, I feel so bad, I feel so bad." Very Powerful |

Well I didn't read all of the ones before me heres what I think.... This song WAS written after a school shooting that happend down the road from their studio. But thats not all it is about, it is also displaying all the problems that Youth face everyday and how there is no guidance. The interesting thing is though that the first couple versus make it seem that the youth are at fault for the problems: "I know it's because.... We are we are...." And at the end the chorus ends up wrapping up that it is the Youth that will change the world not causing it. "Somebody's got to know, Theres got to be more to life than this..." The youth will be the heroes. |

I think the song can be interpretted as picturing a Utopia. But I don't think that was his intentions. Seems more like he's experiencing the love that reciprocates between him and his g/f. More like a "If love like this can bring peace within me, think what this love between everyone could do? Of course Utopia is farfetched...thats why its called a Utopia. Man chooses sin...but he also chooses love. |

| I can't say for certain if they are Christian or not, but growing up in a small Alberta town with 6 Christian churches (of different denominations) chances are they were influenced in some way. I don't think they are "anti" christian. But they certainly don't live the generic christian lifestyle.I also believe theres only a public, non-sectretarian High school in Hanna that they went to...occasionally. | |

| I think this is a very worldly political song...if that makes sense. Its not the typical anti-bush, Anti-poverty song that so many artists do, its just a general, if only people were genuinely better. Amazing lyrics to live by, and a strong song! | |
