| Motion City Soundtrack – Where I Belong Lyrics | 18 years ago |

this song has nothing to do with politics. It's about having an inner struggle with yourself. About having two different opinions on the same things. not being able to make up you're mind. its obvious in lines like "I try to hold myself together Fighting off this mental weather, when I can" the line about the court house, which is really the only half political thing he says in the whole song, is about the two halves of your brain arguing. Half of him wants a summer house but the other half knows he cannot afford it. And seven minutes is how long the average cigarette takes to smoke. It's all about being indecisive, which Justin makes obvious in nearly all of his songs. |

| Thursday – Sugar in the Sacrament Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| No offense to any catholics but I believe all priests do not have the best intentions. The catholic church in general does not have the best intentions. In my opinion it is the biggest cult in the world. What kinda church has secrets under lock and key...its mysterious. Anyways I agree with black taxi. Deffinately questioning the faith some of us have put in these "holy" leaders. I think he does use the abuse of a person. Maybe its like a mental rape? Maybe geoff thinks the church tells lies to get into our heads and hearts and then fucks us?. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – I'll Let You Live Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Anyone think it is about an ex band member or friend? i.e. Jesse or John? "The first degree was a riot" might mean the first time they exchanged words in song it was messy. Adam is accepting the standards they set with their other bands. Instead of going below the belt he's simply saying that they settled for a lesser band and that TBS is #1 and they are always going to be 2nd best. And I think adam always took the split between him and jesse harder hence his soft spot (I know its not what you deserve) | |
| Panic! at the Disco – Build God, Then We'll Talk Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I partly agree with AaronBrownIm not sure if the girl is a hooker by profession because she's trying to get a job at the firm...she has sex with the lawyer for that position and a bit of cash. I think theyre using the song to mainly describe how low even respectable people can be and how filthy we all really are no matter what our jobs are or how we present ourselfs to other people in public. Then it focuses on that girl and after she sleeps with a few people she gets busted by the cops (There was a terrible crash between her and the BADGE) and i think the purse of a different kind was her kissing up to the cops or maybe just a different type of facial expression...such as pursing ones lips... | |
| Silverstein – Already Dead Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song was written after Shane read Alice Seabolds novel "The Lovely Bones". That novel is about a girl who is murdered at the age of 14 and watches her family cope with her death from her own version of heaven. It seems like he is the one doing the killing and imagining what his victim(the role of the little girl) will do once he/she is dead. Oh and I dont think its about a relationship at all. It seems like theres no reason for the killing. Maybe they were just aquaintances and he's just a sick fuck? | |
