To someone unaware of the expierences offered by illegal narcotics, this is an anti-drug song. For those who are all too knowledgeable this song is an excellent discription of how even after the effects of your drug wear off, you still believe the feeling was worth it, and you know that given the chance you will do it again. |

I feel this song is about being so thouroughly associated with drug use that it seems strange when you find yourself not under the influence. This is how the strange days destroy your casual joys. The hostess' guests are sleeping from sinning, or sleeping from drug use and sex. Such heavy drug use leads to a very patchy batch of memories and a sense of detachedness with the rest of the world. The are the images which my mind conjures as it hears these words. |
