*shrugs* Personally I hate 50 Cent. He's the ugliest man I've ever seen, and the most repulsive human being I've ever heard of. I dislike rap in general, but that doesn't mean that rap can't be good. Some old-school rap was perfectly acceptable. (Take the Run D.M.C/Aerosmith song for example), and rap can still be a form of expression (Justin Wharfield on Placebo's Spite and Malice, for example, has excellent lyrics - but then, it is combined with excellent guitar music and is based in rock). But this... this is just lame, degrading, stupid, insulting, superficial shit. This is all 50 Cent is about - drugs, sex, women, cars and bling. Don't you know, people? BLING KILLS! You can write a song about drugs - but include an emotional level. You can write about sex - but involve a real relationship. You can write about women - but treat them with respect. And, uh, don't write about cars or bling. That's the immediate basis for any shite song. I'm glad 50 Cent got bottled off Reading. Fucking loser has got nothing to do with a Rock concert. He must have got confused with all the 'rocks' that he wears, and thought it was a special concert for those with the most inordinate amount of jewellery. Oh, and 50 Cent's videos make me physically sick. What could we put in our video? Oh, I know, how about a bunch of slags throwing themselves about in the most disgustingly degrading manner possible? And how about as many expensive cars as possible? And how about dollar bills flying around? How about so much bling you could drown in it? How about FUCK NO! I can with certainty say that 50 Cent is the worst artist I've ever heard. Now, I'm a rock music fan myself, but that doesn't mean I don't think some rap is alright, as long as it MEANS something, as long as it has some substance or emotional level. 50 Cent doesn't. But, hey, you're welcome to dance to it if you think it's got "a HAWT SEXAY video lololoz!!!!11oneONE!!!11" That's a pretty lame reason for liking a song though. *shrugs* |

The actual lyrics from Aphex Twin are: "Come on little funny man, come on, come on! I would like to fuck you up the bunghole, and then I will sneak into your room and cut your cock off and chew it up with my little pearlies." Now this is so very similar to the 'lyrics' in Evil Dildo that it seems to be linked. Either Placebo used those words and changed them for their own song, or the guy who called up Brian was familiar with the Aphex Twin song and decided to use these particular words. This is all assuming the Aphex Twin song came out before the Placebo one? It seems more likely that the phone-caller used Aphex Twin, than Placebo deliberately using those lyrics from their own song. Brian clearly stated that he put the actual voices from his answering machine to piss the callers off, pass them off as jerks. So yeah... |
