Oooh, you think I give a shit that you have musical contacts? Honestly, do you? I will tell you that I certainly don't, nor do I care how much money you make in London Nightclubs. In fact, what WAS the point of that tirade exactly? To impress me? I sure hope not because it didn't work. Just because you make some money from nightclubs does NOT mean you know about music. It certainly doesn't mean your taste is better than mine because European music is the most uninspired, droning, lackluster, dead-ten-years-ago scene there is! Add to this the fact that you have the audacity to say that 90% of American music is crap proves that you have a narrow-minded point . Furthermore, if you are so damn sophisticated, why do you take the time to badmouth a group of people for the music they listen to? Shouldn't you be out snorting X with the rest of the deadbeat U.K. Drum and Bass movement? In case you can't tell, that was not a serious comment.
And I don't see how my listening to Johnny Cash music has anything to do with making mistakes in writing past and present tense. And if you want to argue semantics, it’s not “Coldplay are a good band that make good music!” Its Coldplay is a good band that makes good music. Not that it’s true, because Coldplay is not a good band and Coldplay does NOT make good music, they make whiny, melodramatic, Top of the Pops/TRL, little teeny bopper girl music. |

I never said they were terrible musicians, I just never said they were brilliant ones. They may lay somewhere in the middle, but I stand by the point that I never defamed them in any way. You, however, take every opportunity to badmouth any thing you don't agree with, which according to your track record is a whole lot of slow melodramatic whiny music that a person can play in the background and cry to. Just because I like different types of music and can appreciate music with a pulse or an attitude other than melancholy, doesn't mean I listen to crap music, it means you have a terrible taste in music because you limit your views on what is good and what is not. I believe in a post you make you chastise others for not labeling others because they wear tracksuits (chavs innit?) yet you openly call out others for wearing black and dressing "gothic" Your hypocrisy blows me mind. Now, I may talk crap, but at least I know how. |

See that is what I thought too, but the tone of it to me kind of suggests that it is more like hes singing about how it was so easy to seduce her. He read her like a book, but then again, he DID fall in love in love with that book. I still think though, its funny because he's singing to her about how easy and satisfying it is to take advantage of her. |

I first heard the Deftones version, but the feeling in this one is much deeper. Does anyone else see that dying person thing? Maybe I just permanately associate Skynryd songs with death after Devil's Rejects, i dunno. |

way 2 nang, I never said a thing about the Arctic Monkeys, I amm sure they are just swell! But i can say that musically Cash has accomplished more in one lifetime than they could ever imagine. Now, if you want to badmouth KoRn that is one thing but to say my liking Johnny Cash says something about my music taste is a pretty outrageous statement. Johnny Cash is a music legend and while you may not like or respect him, millions of others would disagree. Furthermore, perhaps it is not us Korn fans that should grow up, it is you. from what i heard the recorded version almost dint get recorded and june cash asked him to do it and he actually had the lyrics onstage because he didnt have time to learn them. also i beleive silverstien wrote a follow up to this song from the fathers point of view about how sue was such a wuss. funny song |
