I'm not sure about that interpretation but it seems to me that it's about the end of the world indicated by deluge.
There is no more world
The land is gone
Water is all that survived that one
I try not to include any biblical connotations, but it does resemble the Flood as it was the God's punishment for people's past sins ("mistakes"). |

I guess many of you have noticed an alternate version of this song, as a hidden track on Letting Off. That one's much more creepy than the 'official' version with Neely, in which at least the melody is 'user-friendly'. |

'tearjerker' was dedicated to cobain, not 'tear'... that could confuse you.
If you link the lines of chorus "All in all I'm/Loving every rise and fall/The sun will make" it makes new sense. It's actually about life and relishing it, I agree, and not wasting any moment ("Say it now because you never know"). I guess it's never easy, though... how many of us know that feeling that we get a perfect chance to do something and just let it go... lol a bit like in frusciante's firm kick (I never say what i intend to) |

it's a poor song and the lyrics are so crude. the lead singer has no great voice and she tries to make up for this by uttering these pathetic high-pitched tones. i don't know what you lot find so amazing in this amateur, overrated band! |
