| Silverchair – Abuse Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |

This song is about the media and those articles they had written about them since they became famous. I remember one of the local rags here in Sydney took it upon themselves to hide somewhere and take a snap of him riding his bike to school when they first got signed up. On the paper the front page headline was "The Six Millionar Dollar Kid" in reference to their amazing record sales. I believe it's his way of hitting out at the media and for all the times they have abused his personal life. I remember an interview with Daniel and he said how much he loved this song cos it was such a nice peaceful melody coupled with a violent lyric. Kind of like on the outside he's showing them what they want to see - smiles, posing for photos, etc. But on the inside he wants to chuck all of those sailors (people in the same boat - media) overboard. Personally I love the grainy voice he used for this song. |

| They interviewed Daniel when this first came out since it was the first track released from Diorama and he said it's about how they're always under surveillance of someone. Someone's always watching their every move or trying to control them. And this song is saying I see you and I know what you're doing. | |

| The meaning of this song has already been mentioned above but I just wanted to give my props up to this song. My fave song on the album! Geez Chris Cornells voice is amazing!! | |
| Ben Lee – Catch My Disease Lyrics | 20 years ago |

The obvious meaning is, he's full of happiness and he wants to share it with someone. A sinister double entendre he may have intended is the STD angle. It's a hippy song. Back in the hippy days it was about free love. The song sounds it was written while he was tripping and trying to convince a girl sleep with him, thereby catching his (sexually stransmitted) disease. |

| My favourite song off the album. I think everyone has already said what this song is about. Pretty straight forward. Gives you an insight into the type of person she is though - she's not clingy and she just wants the man of her dreams to be happy. What an excellent girlfriend to have... | |

I just got the album today and heard this song for the first time. I love it! After listening to this song a few times here's what I got from it. 24 is a full day - a metaphor for ones lifetime. In saying this she also hints that life is short. She has to move on from the relationship cos she feels she is wasting her time in it. But obviously she loves him nonetheless and wants to know that even though she's leaving him that he's going to be okay and move on. |
