Pretty good song, but the mastering is horrible.

The Apples in Stereo – Y2K Lyrics 19 years ago
I just noticed something.

I know you believe
The fucked up things that you read
Are gonna happen

^^^ That's in haiku form.

Doesn't really have anything to do with the meaning of the song, I just thought it was kinda neat.

I love the force behind his voice on "if you're lookin' for a friend you can go fuck yourself"

Sufjan Stevens – Kill Lyrics 19 years ago
houseofdolls, i came here to post the exact same thing. it's similar enough that i think it's possible he did it purposefully as a reference to the song. although i'm not exactly sure why he would.

of Montreal – The Repudiated Immortals Lyrics 19 years ago
Ever since listening to the Morning Becomes Eclectic performance and hearing what this song is about, I like it a whole lot. I like how even though it's this post-apocalyptic sort of story, it's kind of sweet. "I'll take care of you if you take care of me." Even though they've been rejected by God and doomed to a violent world, they've still got each other, and they're satisfied. I just think it's romantic, in a weird way.

Nevermind that. How was she able to see an invisible tree?

I absolutely love this song. I'm surprised there's no comments yet.

Lyrically it's quite simple. I love how incredibly happy it is, and that lyrics like this really work with the Beatlesy bounce of the music. A perfect way to start off an album as blissful and at times bizarre as The Gay Parade.

My Bloody Valentine – Sunny Sundae Smile Lyrics 20 years ago
I don't think those last four lines are right at all, but I can't make out exactly what they say.

It's a really sweet song though. I wish it were recorded better. I hope someone covers it.

Beulah – If We Can Land a Man on the Moon, Surely I Can Win Your Heart Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is not about a band. Just look at the title. It's obvious. The whole thing is a metaphor for trying to win over a girl.
