haha i haven't been on here for a long time and i'm reading all the followups on my comments. i base my ideas of others, taking out what doesnt make sense, putting what i feel is correct, reading the comics, and really just listening to the song, and the way the lyrics are sung/spoken. i have all the songs from the first two cd's on my mypace in my blog. myspace.com/toge add me. coheed! coheed! coheed! coheed! oh and BurningStarIV: I do think that "when eye meets eye be calm we'll lay here alone they locked the children in the floor" is the monstar theory. but the song could also be "when i meets (?)... be calm Wil(helm), lie here alone and lock the children in floor" i really am not sure, probably either the first one, or both. i think they have a tendency to use one line, replaceing comma's and etc. and change the line's meaning completely. later guys. have fun. |

I got this CD in 6th grade (I'm now in 11th) and when I first got it I didn't really pay attention and I just figured it was about a girl and moved on, but the other day I thought about it and it hit me like a brick. As much as Davey adores his fans, we act like we know him. We don't. I can see how it would be flattering, and disgusting at the same time. yes chase is an irobot, along with coheed, cambria, claudio, jesse, josie, etc. im not sure if this song has ever happend because claudio's still asleep and dreaming from Godsend, anyways (Jesse / Chase) Jesse's preparing his men to charge forward in a final stand. They're all uneasy, but he asks "Are you ready on my mark?" before giving the signal. The only comforts for his men are their weapons, or being in arms. They know they can't stop what they're facing, but they really have no choice other to surrender and they wish they can kill it. Sometime during this battle he finds that Chase, his "daughter" and necessary for not losing the war, was captured. He tries to call in others to help or something of the sort, but his COM link is broken. So, he turns himself over for Chase. He expects her to be returned back to his side in the exchange, and I assume that's what happened. It doesn't necessarily have to be Jesse, it could be the other boy shown at the beginning of the comic, but for my interpretation it is Jesse. |

(that was not intended to be rude) but, Basically, this is the song Everything Evil from Claudio's point of view i'll paste my Everything Evil here so you dont have to go to it...: Everything Evil (Jesse / Coheed / Cambria) Mayo sets up Jesse and has him invited to Coheed's house, in part "staging a reenactment". Considering Jesse was a clone of the doctor it would be a reenactment of when Coheed kills the doctor. Mayo is "waiting for everything evil in [Coheed]" to come out (because upon eye contact with Jesse the Monstar evolves). When the fight is happening (between Coheed and Jesse & his men) Josephine walks in and is killed by Coheed accidentally. Josephine then calls out to Jesse while she's dying saying to "come look at what your brother did here he did away with me". Patrick, who came home with Josephine, was also harmed. Later Claudio comes home while Cambria is trying to escape the chaos (with Patrick who is dying) and screams to him "dear Claudio, god damn-it we'll make it if you believe", not having a lot of time to explain the situation, and they get away. At that point the FBI busts in and tries to capture the lot of them and Coheed and Jesse escape. |

eh... sin mi cara, your probably right. well this song is hard to pick off but this IS what its about...maybe not the meaning...but this IS what its about: The Writer starts to lose his mind over the devastation of this love he's been separated from. In the second verse, the Writer talks about her, and the influence on whats to come in the story. Claudio said that himself. so I know thats its a true statement. |

Okay what happend to the song meaning part in this? k im setting it straight: what that guy said right up there^ is exactly right. emo is in every band so get over it and i even remember of a Throwdown song that was considered emo so...THERE! ANYWAYS back to DEVIL IN JERSEY CITY.... The song is about Patrick And Josephene driving to Jersey City, and what happend there. They pull up in an ally way, with Josie feeling uneasy, and Patrick trying to comfort her. They begin to kiss when a window is broken by a member of the Jersey City Devil's chain. (im guessing the Jersey City Devil's are just a local gang...with more significance to the story than i know) They are pulled out of the car, Josephine raped and Patrick down on the floor...bleeding bastard. so this is what the song means: New Jersey bound...when the corner boys fuck shit up =Josie's parents are unaware of her being away The most vulnerable is when Josie and Patrick are occupied with eachother The 'Corner boys' are also The Jersey Devils i think? Scream loud sweet sayonara etc. = I am assuming that to be Patrick tellin Josie to scream loud for help. Im not sure what the 'follow' and 'fuck me back home' means Lets fire it up etc. =Coming from the Jersey Devils point of view Dont let them scare you etc. =im assuming thats Patrick/Josie's thoughts and/or conversation before, during, and after the conflict. well lets go grab the graphic novel and i'll tell you what I think it is!: Okay well tenspeed is a bike. the section of the book starts out with tenspeed speaking to claudio through his mind[?] he is the 'voice that moves in the wheels below'. Claudio asks "What the hell are you?" and he replies back with "WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?? IM A F*CKING BICYCLE!". my interpretation of the the story is that Tenspeed is trying to convince Claudio to kill Erica because in doing that he will find a way to tell "the boy". im not sure exactly who he his...maybe Jesse...? or maybe Patrick..what ever happed to him? So basically i think this song is really just an introduction for Tenspeed to come into the story....yep. |
