The Kooks – Seaside Lyrics 18 years ago
There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to describe the beauty of the song. I grew up on an island so the word seaside is charged whit longing. I will never forget all those summer nights at the seaside. But I still wonder if it was the shoreline or the girl beside me I fell in love with.

I think that the line ”From the corpses flowers grow” refers to the actuality that even from pure evil good things can be born.

Devendra Banhart – Fall Lyrics 18 years ago
I’ll totally agree my favourite Banhart song to. Just consider “window spreads like cornfields in fall” and picture it in your head.

Antony and the Johnsons – Cripple and the Starfish Lyrics 18 years ago
This song it truly beautiful, it’s hard to hold back the tears.
It’s a fact that when a starfish loses a part of its body it grows back again relatively fast. For me it’s a symbol of the strength of the individual. It doesn’t matter if he cuts his finger because he got the strength to heal. Of course this is rather metaphorical, I’ll think he mean the emotional pain. So believe in your self and let words of unkindness drip of your body like water.

Devendra Banhart – Heard Somebody Say Lyrics 18 years ago
The melody is so easy and still it’s so beautiful, many of his song has the same background music trough out the whole song, generally it’s monotonous boring but he really makes it work.
It’s just in the minds of the politicians that war ends, and that’s their job to make us believe them.

Phoenix – Courtesy Laughs Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is delightful. I believe it’s about the time after a break up that’s characterizes of emotions that’s surges. The wording is full of contradictions. He is eager to empty her closet and to move on, but still he will read every novel she has read. But why did he bury her letters whit enjoyment? I wonder if the title of the lyric can be seen as an equivocate, either as courtesy or as Courtesy, as if it was a name of a girl.
