yup he yells "I could never find such a pretty face, pretty face".....I used to think that he just repeated the last word that the frontman said, but after listen more closely, I found out that he says the before-mentioned. hope that helps and God bless you all. |

agree with the above, but I think it's about his (can be either aaron or spencer since they both write the lyrics) life before God. The video is very confusing. what's up with the "777" (probably a reference to their site www.underoath777.com?) and the girl wearing the red coat; notice that it's the only color in the video, everything else is dark. |

in this song, he says "never to late to recreate...". I noticed that he also says this in "the hand, the furnace the straight face", ("never to late to recreate so heres your evidence"). as before mentioned by ominousoat. has anyone tried to put the songs together to get a meaning? God bless u all. |

lol, ok... the singer said some words to someone in the past and now he regrets it. However, he said what he said, and it cannot be undone. I don't understand the last verse. God bless u. |

ok, to the person above me, it sort of makes sense but not completely. I think that CityStarz interpretation of a girlfriend/boyfriend issue is right on point, my humble opinion though. I still don't understand the video....I know it's about a murder but what does that have to do with the song? and what's up with those two kids? God bless u all |

I like this song so much more than the stuff he did with blink-182. I like the how he's being more mature. Come to think of it, my favorite blink-182 songs are the more serious ones....oh well...God bless you all. |

wow, what a video. I'm not a big fan of gorillaz but that was just sad. to clear things up, I just finished reading something at mtv.com and article on the gorillaz titled "Goodbye, Gorillaz? Frontman Wants To Exit Hip-Hop Style" that this is it for gorillaz, no more cd's. It also said that Noodle did in fact die. However, if they do ever make a comeback, they won't make Noodle come-back in a "Star Wars fashion" in their words. all in all, I'm still sad... |

complete guess here, but going with theblb's intrepretation, it could mean that he (schwab) would visit his grandparents in december because they live in some warm place. "you always offered shelter from december's snow". I could be COMPLETELY wrong though, remember it's just a guess. |

I love the line "I do not NEED anymore TRUTHless heroes, truthless heroes." I put the caps to show that the band is yelling "I need truth" behind Andrew's vocals. then when Andrew emphasizes it in the end "I NEED TRUTH" that is just pure brilliance |

| P.O.D. – Sounds Like War Lyrics

they had this song on "The Warriors EP volume 2"but instead it said : "Sound like it's Jah to me, Sound like it's Jah to me, the sum of everything yeah. Close your eyes so you can see peace, love and harmony. Sounds like it's Jah to me yeah." And it was called "Ya Mama". All this leads to my question, why did they change it? |

I would have to disagree. I think this song is about a person who was a Christian and later that person went back to how he/she was before becoming a Christian hence the lines:"Your fate's still undecided Return, Return, Return" and "Remember when you nearly plunged into embrace? But instead you've chosen to keep it all at bay" |

| Emery – Returning The Smile You Have Had From The Start Lyrics

okay, i'm not sure on the meaning (although it's obviously about death) but from what I gather from the lyrics the narrator and a friend did something they weren't supposed to out of curiousity ("You want to know if it was worth all the pain that it caused us") then the friend dies and the narrator is asking why it wasn't him ("to know why it was you deserved this") |

i agree with beau99 and in part with 4evermyvalintine, i think this song is talking about death, primarily sonny's mom. for one thing, "when will we sing a new song" can mean when he sees his mom in heaven; "the hardest part of holding on is lettin it go" probably means that it is hard for him to move on, as so many people advice us to;" who's the one to blame for this" is probably meaning that he is angry that she was taken from him. well that's what i got out of it... |

here's how i see it. red ink would signify passion/lust since passion is usually represented in red. the quill is probably the words that the man uses to entice the girl in this song (quills were used to write back in the day) |

I have to agree with the last line of the comment by "nobodieslistening" but i'll change it a bit.
I think this song is about a guy who wants to get with a girl who's interested in him but he takes too long to approach her ("no she won't, she won't, she won't wait!") and when he does approach her, he says all the wrong words ("always what you meant, never what you said.") the line that reads "valet every wish" probably means that the guy does everything the girl wants him to because he wants her so bad. However, later on the guy realizes that he doesn't want to be with her because she's not what he expected ("I never knew how much it takes to accept that you're a fake.") then he decides to take some time to think about the possible relationship ("Sometime I think you/I need some time to get all without").
well that's my version of it, sorry for disecting it so much. but if i'm right, why is the song titled "mis behavin'") well i'm probably worng but oh well.... |

well, since I'm a Christian, I go with the people that say this song is about God and here's why. 1st, like many people have posted, Emery is a Christian band. Second, the lines that read...."the chains (why) of death (don't take) are falling (away)..." I don't think that anyone can take down the chain of death besides Jesus Christ(isn't there a Bible verse that says something along those lines?) and Atreyukidd...i know that he wasn't there holding God's face but he could be putting himself in that position and asking himself, how would I react if I were there when Christ died.... well, that's my take on it... |
