Mustaine might've written the riffs and shit for the first couple of tallica albums but who gives a fuck, the fact is it's tallica's shit not mustaine's, and he's just ripping off tallica, just like in mechanix. I dont care if he used the same chords or whatever for hangar 18, thats a fuckin kickass song and sounds nothing like metallica so i dont care if he uses the same shit but changes it, but he shouldnt ripp off metallica by copying their shit exactly. |

Im a massive fan of the four horseman, one of my favourite 'tallica songs ever, and when i heard this i was shocked by the similarity of it however i love it! but the lyrics suck. As a drummer i found it much more challenging to play to this track but now i'm heaps better at playing the four horseman. sweet song. And yeah, shadowfilth, good point. |

From reading the lyrics, it seems clear this song is about losing his girlfriend. however think about this, when i heard this song at the end of FMJ i thought maybe its how everything turns black during a ANY war (not specifically talkin bout vietnam here) due to all the explosions and destruction.....because when u blow things up they turn black...."line of cars 'painted' black," etc. from being blown up maybe? |

i think itz the worst track on the album, especially the chorus, its terrible i reckon, lyrically and melodically. however i reckon everything else on the album is pretty good shyt, shame bout this 1 i reckon |

yeah hermanator initially i would have agreed with u but after listening to the album heaps i have found many of the songs are wicked, particularly disconnect, burning bridges, promises, losing my senses and dread and the fugitve mind.
However this song's solo is something else i reckon, easily the coolest on this album. |

You are all right (this is my first post, I signed up just to make it after listening to this song). This song is basically taking the intro from 'the call of ktulu' and the rest from 'am I evil.' I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it, Did mustaine use any of his own material in this at all? I'm a bit disapointed by it actually, being a new Megadeth fan having been won over by 'rust in peace,' to hear a song that is just a blatant rip off of metallica and diamond head does not increase my love of megadeth. |
