| 30 Seconds to Mars – From Yesterday Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i have to a agree with AnnaBeann's opinion made in september about what the song is about. this has to do with world leaders or people in general that start wars. soilder is too surface, to me, of a reference...and i looked at the places the band recorded the album. are u trying to tell me his work didn't some how subconsciously leak into what he was writing? the movie lord of war, nick cage's character, that type of personality would be a person that this can apply to. a person who's daily life leads to the destruction of others but they won't quit. and everyone please stop fighting over who's lyrics are right...cuz in a sence u r all right...dude slurs...lol love you all! | |
| Emanuel – You Cannot Rape The Willing Lyrics | 19 years ago |

first off, i would love to say how i really love this song and i constantly play it. the melody and the lyrics are awesome. second, they fucking rock live...can't wait to see them again third, i think in a sense the lyrics remind me of my ex. the relationship really took alot out of me and did for a time cost me my inspiration to write. im into poetry....but i think the title sums it up you cannot rape the willing- its you who allows a crappy relationship or some harmful situation to go on. so u cannot be able with a clear conscience to say that you were taken advantage of. u get a sense that this person he was involved with totally was a bad influence but he admits to an extent he has to take the blame for letting himself be there to be mistreated.. GENIUS! i love this band dearly... |

i absolutely love this band, this album and this song. it is so beautifully written. he talks about a person wanting to be back in a relationship that had caused emotional scarring, that the person resorts to hiding their heart....sort of closing their heart so they don't get hurt again. they secretly hope that the person that they were with can see beyond the hiding and return to them before the person's heart fully closes. its a deep song. i love lyrical cleverness of the first two lines. it connects the albums 'Love Metal' with 'Dark Light'. The moth was mentioned in 'Funeral of hearts' (he was the fire, restless and wild and u were like a moth to that flame); the butterfly was from 'rip the wings of a butterfly'. both animals similar, sacrificed for love. the butterfly signifying maturity and transition while the moth signifies innocence and living in the moment. beautiful!!!! |

| Trapt – Still Frame Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| in the beginning of a person's life, everyone has told them who and what to be. when u get older u have to discover exactly what and where u should be. that is what i think the song is discussing. every time i think of this song i think of after college graduation, what exactly r u going to do with your life? | |
| HIM – Don't Close Your Heart Lyrics | 20 years ago |

this is one of the first songs that made me really interested in learning more about the band. at the time i heard this song, i just got out of a horrible relationship and was about to give up on love all together. then i went on HIM's website and heard this song. i know it sounds cheesy but its true, this song, the way Ville sang it gave me such hope. Just because of one really bad experience with love you can be able to move on, love is possible, u have to be willing to take chances. I love this band with all my heart :) |

| HIM – Face of God Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i so love this song...i take it as he yearns for the person soo much as to want to share their bad parts. and the shadows...i take that as sexual symbolism | |
| HIM – Dark Light Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| im confused as to what exactly the song is about but its wonderful...i love this song | |
| Queen – Who Wants To Live Forever Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| this song talks about how love is so short compared to life. In Highlander how living forever means nothing if you don't have love. who wants to live forever and have no love, no person to enjoy it with..there is no point to life. it sounds a bit fatalistic but i think i can relate with how being in love is important now because like life (mortal life) the time is now. i cried the first time i heard this song....if anyone redoes the song now, i think Ville Valo (HIM) has the range to hit the notes that the lead singer of breaking benjamin couldn't. | |
