| Dave Matthews Band – Rhyme & Reason Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
My head won't leave my head alone And I don't believe it will Until I'm dead and gone My head won't leave my head alone And I don't believe it will Until I'm six feet underground ( When I hear this part of the song I know exactly how this man feels, for I feel the same way. Your addictions are always in the back of your head talking to you, trying to get you to go do them, and sometimes it wins the battle. Plus no matter how long you are away from drugs they are always on your mind, and they most likely won't leave until you die, especially since according to this song it seems like the drugs are winning the battle over Dave, and since that is the case he will always let his head get him to do drugs, and this will be his demise.) |

| Dave Matthews Band – Typical Situation Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is about drug use, and as you can tell he wrote this song while tweaking, it has that tweaker writing style to it, and I am not talking about messing with coke, he had to write this while on meth. And this is about drugs, just like all the other songs from this album, except for a few.If you do not beileve me, then let me break it down for you. Ten fingers we have each Nine planets around the sun repeat Eight ball is the last if you triumphant be Seven oceans pummel the shores of the sea (Each of us have hands and make our own decisons to do what we want, The eight ball is him talking about how he may have once choosen to buy coke because he was addicted but he still had a choice to say no.) It's a typical situation In these typical times Too many choices Everybody's happy Everybody's free (It is the same situation whare he goes to buy the drugs from the dealer, and everyone he sees at the dealer is happy in their drugs, everyone is free to make the choice of weather or not to do it.) We'll keep the big door open Everyone will come around Why are you different Why are you that way If you don't get in line We'll lock you away ( He may be saying here that he tempted someone to use drugs but they said no, so he left open the invitation, which is the door open. And eventually all give in to drugs, but for some reason this person does not, so he asks why are you different, becasuse he does not understand how someone can not give in to drugs. He then says if you dont get in line then somehow you get set free and are a good person who dosent need drugs.) Six senses feeling Five around a sense of self Four seasons turn on and turn off I can see three corners from this corner Two's a perfect number But one, well ( Now this is him just straight out writing stuff on his mind as he is tweaking and writing this, as I beileve that he did this whole album while tweaking on meth.) Everybody's happy Everybody's free We'll keep the big door open Everyone will come around Why are you different Why are you that way If you don't get in line We'll lock you away His writing style, how he words things, the things he says in the songs, it seems too much like somthing a tweaker writes, for I am a tweaker, and I have alot of buddies who do it too, and when we tweak we write music, and alot of our songs are like this, so I thinkt his whole album is a album done on drugs. It's a typical situation In these typical times We can't do a thing about it Too many choices |

| Dave Matthews Band – What Would You Say Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Dave obviously wrote this song while being on Meth, just like he wrote every other song on this album, while being high on meth. His writing style in each song is that of a tweaker, and this song makes no sense, and I am sure if you asked him today what this song meant he wouldn't know, but I am sure it made perfect sense when he wrote it and was tweaking. This song is about Original Sin, and that is all we know, the other stuff makes no sense, even if you are tweaking it makes no sense. | |

| This song is about the struggle one faces when addicted to Meth, I think he use to get real tweaked, by shooting it up his arm, look at his writing style on this album, alot of the songs make no sense, but if you were tweaking they would make some sense, and I am sure he wrote 100% of this album while under the influence of Meth. His writing style is that of a typical tweaker. | |
