Brandon Flowers has said this song is very personal for him and considering he's a mormon who didn't go on a mission I think it's so obviously about his experiences with his religion. I've got soul- that refers to him not going on the mission as he's saying that even tho' he didn't go it doesn't mean he's not into his religion anymore.
Just because they have songs about murder and shit doesn't mean they can't also have more spiritual songs! |

I love how the lyrics are optimistic but the music really isn't. It's like Believe Me Natalie- it sounds so uplifting but the story is so depressing. I love how they do that! THANK GOD FOR THE KILLERS!!!!!! |
