Not sure what the WHOLE song means (a wild beach party perhaps) but I am ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED that the "motion in the ocean" verse is a very graphic description of a guy whose rubber accidently bursts while he is having sex. This song was one of three that could get everyone onto the dance floor every time when I was in college. The other two were "Whip It" (Devo) and "Turning Japanese" (The Vapors). As you can see, I was in college a long, long time ago! |
