| I don't think this is much of a drug song. Novacaine is used as an anesthetic, or basically like a numbing agent. I think the ones who said that it was about numbing yourself is correct. I have been in the position to try to numb myself from pain, whether emotional or any other kind, I believe this is a plea for numbness. Hence"The sensations overwhelming" and "Tell me that I won't feel a thing, So give me Novacaine".. when you take drugs.. most don't feel any type of pain.. they get a feel-good sensation. Why would someone ask for a numbing agent in that case? It doesn't make any sense. So in my opinion it's about numbing yourself from pain, or the insensitivity of the world, and people. | |
