Listen. This song clearly has a expert use of scarcism as does "Symbol in my driveway" (the closer on his second album). He's ripping on close minded religous nuts, superficial go with the norm types , and of course the media. JJ loves to rip on the media for there irresponsible journalism, biased articles and stories, etc. This is definitley on of his best songs lyrically and the piano beat makes you feel mixed emotions. Haven't seen this song live yet, but want to. |
