Jason Webley – Dance While The Sky Crashes Down Lyrics 17 years ago
I've seen this guy play live at Red Square at the University of Washington. He's a weird guy and an excellent musician. This song reminds me of Beetlejuice and alcohol and an old, broken down house with moldy, rotten furniture, and pirates, and oddly wise childlike images of Halloween. Of course it's about death.

Thrice – All That's Left Lyrics 18 years ago
(I didn't know he was christian, or affiliated with christianity before readin these posts.)
All I know about this song is that it sounds exactly like when I was in college. Yes we were all doing lots of drugs, and going to lots of parties, but the thing about it, which most people will never believe or understand, is that it was all in the spirit of love. At least for me, I did drugs because I wanted to see, and feel things that were beyond what most people saw. I wanted to feel the magic.
And for a year, it was magic. Of course, drugs can, at best, only give you a glimpse of God, to live in his light is much, much harder. Eventually we all dropped out, one by one, fell apart, burned out, got shot by a pizza delivery driver. Now there are only played out ashes in our minds of that one year when everything came together, and we were all who we wanted to be, and we were living our truest dreams, which were more about friendship, music, and great things than they were ever about drugs.
So I dropped out of college, and I became a tiny pathetic fraction of what I was supposed to be, and none of the vision, none of the magnificence of life as we knew it could be ever really came to fruit. We missed the boat. It's a sad thing but I wouldn't take it back for anything, because we aimed high and fell far.

That's what that song sounds like. Not necessarily God or a relationship, just what happens when you are imperfect, and all the promise of your youth never is fulfilled.
