I had a different reaction, but possibly because I heard this song two days before my friend died of heart failure at the age of 28. Now it reminds me of her. Never has a piece of music burrowed so deep in me. I have to wonder what kind of loss these musicians experienced before writing something so moving. |

| I think it's more about growing old, than anything. Corey is older than I am, I think, and I'm 28... You don't stay young forever. I have said "you don't need to bother" myself sometimes, although in different words. The meaning was still there. I didn't want to be helped... And if I was a rock star in a world that adored me for how I looked and sounded from behind a mask stained with blood and vommit, I wouldn't want help either. I'd want to be left the hell alone. | |
