it seems to me this song is about getting wasted. he's constantly referring to flying, and the ''dreaming of palm trees'' could be taken as hallucinations. he also mentions electric air, like the whole world is alive with energy. the chorus is blatantly talking about drugs, from ''im gonna be high'' as his looking forward to it and ''its a miracle ive escaped alive'' as his realising how stupid it was. the beginning is speaking about a girl he's seen doing coke. they're wasted and acting stupid, and she has ''the hollywood nosebleed'' - the nosebleed you get from doing coke. awesome song |

i think this song is about him falling in love. he finally meets a girl he loves and it makes his whole life great, but he can't write any music anymore, it's taken away the sadness which gave him inspiration, so he has to end it, but everyone else assumes it's just him being an asshole. ''im feeling redundant and i think you should know, its over - without inspiration ive got nowhere to go'' great song. |

When I read your reply, white stone, I came to only one realistic conclusion and remedy for you liking this trash. Get a fucking life you loser. Nobody loves you and your uncle is a convicted rapist. This boy is untalented, annoying whitetrash - he's the kind of guy I'd happily face a court for beating several multicoloured kinds of shit out of and then forcing to eat it. I'll leave you, white stone, with some final thoughts for you to ponder over. Good luck in your recovery. You suck. You suck. You suck. |

| I love this song, it seems to be in a mood that contradicts itself - the rhythm and style of the song is so cheerful and simple, but when you hear the lyrics, you realise that all isn't as it sounds. Great track. | |

Rethorn gets it bang on in his last paragraph. It could be slow and steady, focussing on the sadness, but instead, he's gone for a more sarcastic, enraged view on the subject, which suits it totally in this song, whereas it wouldn't in one like A tout le monde (in my opinion). Definitely a good one to name the album after. |

| I love this one, especially the demo. The demo just brings the sadness of the song forward more, I think, and that's what sets it apart from some of their other stuff. The official release is a little plainer, still good, but not as defined. | |

| For some reason, I too love this song. I'm normally into more heavy, metal style music, but this song is just so... uplifting! Never get sick of this one. | |
| The Killers – Andy, You're a Star Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love this song. In my opinion, I think it's about a gay guy who's still kinda nervous about his sexuality and he's totally obsessed with this football player, who's straight. I think the ''hey shut up'' bit is the player telling him to shut up, because it's creeping him out. Pretty strange song, this. | |

| Great song this, the actual case is pretty creepy, but I'll leave that to you to find out (I mean really, that's a gory way to go) - It'll be great to get this on the next album... | |
