The comparisons to George Bush are getting tiresome. Not every song with political undertones is related to George Bush. I thought it was kind of obvious this song is about censorship, and the American "soccer Mums" who constantly complain about their children seeing immoral things on television, but never adknowledge the terrible things that the USA has done in previous wars. Kind of like that woman from The Simpsons who always says; "Won't somebody think of the children?" |

| Gallows – Will Someone Shoot That Fucking Snake Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Nothing intelligent about them, just violent and thuggish" What's wrong with that? Their aggression is what attracts people to listen to them. It's the reason why bands like Slayer have such a huge following. Pure anger. I admit their lyrics aren't particulary on par with Einstein, (unless he threatened to go stabbing people in the fucking face. I dunno.) but again, there's nothing wrong with that either. Sometimes I want to listen to music that's blunt, simple and easy. Other times, I want to listen to lyrics with complex metaphors and obscure references - it all depends on whatever your mood is. "well, as being a fan of Morrissey..." This isn't really anything to boast about, matey. Nor does it qualify you to judge lyrics from your huge ivory tower. |

| Mclusky – This Is Just Good Business Lyrics | 18 years ago |

This track was meant to be on the Mcluskyism C-side disc, but was eventually rejected. However, it was leaked onto the internet in some kind of mix-up.. I think it's only available on the Mclusky rarities torrent. |

| This song is an attack on critics who slated Hot Chip as "repetitive" and "boring" on the release of their first album. | |

On the live at ULU part of the McLuskyism compilation, the band reveal this song is actually about Gareth Edwards, the Welsh ruby player. Falco got his name wrong in the song title. |
