All that I know is that I personally asked Aaron after a show about the first lines of the song and his response was...January 1979 was when he was born, and the terrible crash was him coming to this Earth. Thats all he said about it...but, great band/song/album! |

I think this song explains how desensitized that people have become these days...like 'celebrating thankxmas, without a regret' that really jumps out at me because think of how many people have lost the true meaning of Christmas...this song is also saying how Jesus is the only way, no slogan, lie, or gadget...and the best line...'Buy or Die'...You follow Christ, or hell's going to be a hot eternity... |

I totally agree with foreverhis888, these kind of songs that people make fit to themselves, in a "relationship" point of view is just stupid. Ok, maybe you aren't a Christian or anything, but Blindside is, and that is what the song is written about, the degree of difficulty of being a Christian.
And, dubtiger, if you had a test and a teacher told you the answers were in a specific chapter that you had to read, you could read it or fail the test...But, why when God tells us that the answers are in the Bible, Jesus, and salvation, does it not make sense? Read the book or miss out on eternal life dude...I'm praying for ya! Peace out |
