I agree that it's not Obama, that wouldn't make sense as it was written well before him. But I do think it is about the office of president. Matt has said it's about Bush. |

sorry I don't think that's possible. it was written in pre 2005. Obama hadn't even decided to run yet. They used it for his campaign, but that's the only connection. |

@spacesqwearl I wrote that comment in 2005, before obama was a name any of us knew. and none of us have mentioned obama. I think he's just singing about the office of president. |

The english are waiting and i don't know what to do... it all kinda makes sense if you listen to it with that in mind. the only part i kinda dont get is the "I used to be carried on the arms of cheerleaders" I think its that he just to be captain of the football team or something and those are the kind of people who become president.. like the really popular people.. and now that he is, its really hard on him.. "this is nothing like it used to be in my room." and he's in his best clothes... etc.... |
