I definitely agree that there are a lot of biblical references. When you have eternity to look forward to, anything you build up on this earth begins to look rather worthless. |

I have never seen a band (short of mewithoutYou), use biblical references and scripture as well as Dustin does on this album. This album has a message that I think is vital to all mankind. We all our created in the image of God and he has a plan for us to do amazing things. We just need to accept it. |

I agree with Tossed Dwarf. The image of shedding your blood is so biblical. Christ did it and then it is used so many other times in the bible it is ridiculous. Dustin has definitely stepped the lyrics up a notch for the song-writing on this album. |

In the line, "Heaven sent reply, however small, Evidence of life, beyond these walls" he tells of how the smallest trace of God gives him hope that there is a meaning behind the shallow facade of this world. The next line, "Born...us dream" tells us that we are raised in this world and shows how are culture does not embrace the life that we are asked to lead by Christ. Now the end begins to talk about the apocalypse, the time when Christ will come back and "the Earth will shake, these weathered walls, will fall away." I know that Dustin is a christian by the way because his brother told me when I met him at a christian camp, plus Dustin has mentioned it in several interviews and in all his songs there is a lot of biblical jargon. |

This is without a doubt speaking about rising up and being a part of the great plan God has for us. I say the word is probably Jesus. But there is no way that it is not about God, i.e. "Awed by grace, I fall on my face", if thats not biblical jargon and christian idealogy I don't know what is |

This song is about when Aaron broke up with his girlfriend(Amanda) because the sexual temptation was too much, "I can't remember the color of your eyes, just the shape of your dress." This is hard because they are very much in love, "what good is one glove, without the other." It is also obvious that neither wanted to split because of the line, "honey, I had no choice". They go through a very tough split where she tries to console him, "It'll be alright", but to no avail they cannot overcome the sexual temptation. You might be happy to know that Aaron and Amanda are now dating again. This song is also more clear if you read the stuff about the song "Everything was Beautiful, and Nothing Hurt". |

This song is about how the only hope in life is with Christ, and without Him life has no meaning. I love that verse in the background. Very perceptive battaryacid |

"the back wheel, detached from the frame, it kept rolling yeah, but aimlessly drifting around", this describes what life is without God. Detached from God life has no direction, and no purpose. |

"grape on the vine, why not be crushed to make wine" refers to us in relation to God(the vine), and he is asking to die and be with Him. This is further established by the line, "six of my closest friends dig up the ground, and all my accomplishments gently lowered down", this is six bullets in a chamber, digging up the ground to bury him and all his worldly accompishments buried with him. That second line is not posted above but it's in the song |
