The part about giving up her life for this other person until she is swooped up by a sea of love makes it sound like she's talking about a child that she will love until the child grows up and someone else loves her. The part about no man can pull down from my dark star would go along with this theory.
I wish I knew what she was talking about with this dark star. I wikipedia'ed dark star and found a star so large that it traps all of the light. Maybe she is referencing that. This star, her child, is all encompassing and she doesn't care about anything else. |

I think this song is about the government manipulating us.
the "Dance Fucker Dance" line makes me think this. I think the part about the lies also applies to the government. They will use several clever lies and they will elicit such fear from us that they can get anything from us. |
