| i agree this song contains too many sexual metaphors. she's ready to do anything that pleases him(even with his friends in the bedroom) -since he is what she wants at last(right clothes) and she swears on that(bible). i think the "live wire" refers to herself also. such a lovely way to describe sex. love this song! | |

my favorite by alanis -aftrer uninvited- i also believe that this song is about a woman who had feelings for a man who is married now and they get together to have dinner. he shares problems with her. "but i need to talk to somebody you said "wouldn't it be a shame if i knew how great i was five minutes before i died i'd be filled with such regret before i took my last breath" and i said "you're willing to tell me this now and you're not going to die anytime soon" he is rich i guess and he has popularity, however she is not strong as she used to be. she doesn't want to do anything wrong that would upset him or make him think bad things about her. like she is too judging. she was hoping too much stuff, but just hoping.. |
