The Saint Augustine theory does fit. I had always wondered if he had something to do with song but knew very little about him.
This song perfectly describes those moments in your life when you see "the big picture" and realize that so much of what you have focused on is completely insignificant. And you start to wonder what you should be doing with your life. God has so much more planned for us. |

sometimes when can forget how amazing God's love is. It can become mundane, ceremonial, and too religious (like when he says "cold religion"). I think Jon was trying to make us remember that God's love is a movement that is meant to be exciting, celebrated, and enthusiastic. We can't take it for granite. It's so much bigger than everything. |

when I first heard this song and looked at the lyrics I immediately thought that they were making fun of rappers and rap songs in this song. I mean when he's saying things like, "babys daddy" and "shake it like a salt shaker" it's hard to deny. the lyrics are definitely not meant to be serious at all. This song makes me laugh so very hard :] |
