Before the release of his Way To Normal Album, Ben and his band recorded fake tracks to the album because they had time to kill. Ben had a friend "leak" the tracks on fan sites under the pretense that those were actual tracks that were to appear on the album. Later the fake tracks were added as b-sides and bonus tracks on the album. Many of the tracks have similar names to the official ones on the album. In his latest tour (I saw him last Saturday) he performed many of the "fake" songs as well as the official ones. :) |

If you love this song, and you are a fan of musicals as well, you might want to check out Spring Awakening. It's only about a year old, but Duncan Sheik wrote the music for it and won a Tony for it. It's amazing, just like this song. |

I love the baseline in this how it just seems so 'Ho Hum.' There is the sound of something like a chain-gang trudging along. It reminds me of the opening scene in Les Miserables. |

I agree with spankthru that this song is steeped in Mozart references, so don't feel retarded. Also, Mozart's sister was quite a talented composer as well and since Rufus's sister is a musician as well this could have meaning in the song. Beautiful through and through. His lyrics are simply captivating! |
