The sea is a hiding place. Sometimes it just feels like the challenges of life (poverty, pain, heartbreak etc...) gets too much, and it's a lot easier to fall back into a "comfort zone". But by doing this we miss out on the best life has to offer, basically wasting our time on this planet. To achieve greatness, take the risk. Get your ass out of the darkness and into the light of love. You need to leave he water to BREATHE!!! |

Well said... Guys, no song whatsoever will suddenly give you all the answers to life as soon as you decipher the deeper meaning of the words. It's entertainment, albeit at a slightly gloomier level than a rollercoaster ride would be. In my opinion (and I believe that's why the whole religion thing was pulled in as well), is that every living person wants to believe in something, and as soon as they find whatever that is, they begin the search for others who believe the same thing. Then they form groups. Then they try to prove to others that they are right. Then they battle those who tell them they are wrong. Just think of the following: Politics Religion Race and Culture etc etc etc There's always more than enough reason to go and fuck up somebody else, right? But in some ways, I guess I'm the same (I was looking for the song's meaning myself, until I read all of the comments, which was, in my opinion, very entertaining) PS - Good song... |
