I think some songs just seem to make more sense when you can relate to them. For me, this song describes my situation exactly. I'm in love, but our current situation prevents us from being together. When we met, we were living 22 hours apart. Now that we're living only a little more than an hour's flight apart, you know what? It's still practically impossible to find a way to make it work. He quoted "the distance from A to where you'd B, it's only finger-lengths that I see" before I knew that I loved him, but they didn't seem to mean so much then. Now they mean everything. I think this song sums up everything complicated and wonderful and agonising about long distance relationships. |

Stunningly beautiful song. And crazily sexual. I don't need to state my opinion of what it means, because that has already been covered, but I can really imagine making love to this song (as opposed to "having sex"). Hot. But with a definite tinge of sadness. |
