It is about Kurt Cobain because for one it says "too alarming now to talk about" ((death of kurt)) "take your pictures out shake it out" ((Pictures of Kurt)) "truth or consequence say it aloud, use that evidence race it around" ((the dilemna that kurt had either been murdered or suicide)) And to back up Dave Grohls quote: "MY HERO "That's my way of saying that when I was young, I didn't have big rock heroes, I didn't want to grow up and be some big sporting hero. My heroes were ordinary people and the people that I have a lot of respect for are just solid everyday people - people you can rely on" Meaning that his best friend, (ordinary people, everyday people meaning he saw everyday at work) Kurt was his hero. It doesn't say anything about Kurt not being his hero. Read over the quote, and put it in another perspective. It was about Kurt. |

| All songs are emotional to some point so stop arguing about that and secondly Sonic Youth is not underrated, they just never corresponded with MTV. They kinda DIY'ed their way to being noticed. | Its about falling in love with someone. "everyone says its another a phase" meaning that what he's feeling is real, even after questioning the validity of love being real. Sunday always does seem like a slow day but with that one that is being written about, life is so much free, lighter, peaceful, and everything moves in a graceful matter which is why I also think he alluded to "sunday" as the day. | |

The first verses talk about how Thurston met a girl, and talked to her a while about the pain he's going through in life. She laughed because shes psychotic or crazy. Then with Kims part, the girl with schizophrenia she says: my future is static (i dont know whats happening) it's already had it (i think it began somewhere, im lost) i could tuck you in and we can talk about it (i can comfort you so we can talk, but as i stated before im lost) i had a dream and it split the scene (because dreams are like reality for schizophrenics, then this one means i have moments where i am sane and stable, which intervenes with my schizophrenia aka scene ) but i got a hunch it's coming back to me (but i just have a feeling i cant shake it off, its here to stay - the disorder is a part of me) |
