I'm 21 years old. I have never heard a song that has spoken to me more than this one. I met a girl when I was 17. She was gorgeous, way out of my league. But miraculously we started talking on IM, then the phone, about how her ex cheated on her. I knew her ex and trashed him big time. I was never a fan and I knew he liked to fuck girls over. But the more we talked the closer we got. She started coming home with me on the bus to my house. We went to go see social distortion(reminding you this girl was a fucking cheerleader). We had the time of our lives. We had a day at the beginning of the summer where we hung out with eachother all day(meaning I picked her up at 11am and we hung out til 2) and after that she slept over. We became romantic very quickly. Suddenly we were dating steadily. It happened so quickly, right in front of me, almost effortlessly. Everything just clicked into place. A few months passed, and around december of my senior year I realized I truely loved this girl, and she told me she felt the same. Everything happened so quickly, and before I knew it we were talking about marriage. The months suddenly turned into years... I had gone to college(she was two grades younger than me(one year younger than me)) quickly dropped out because I quickly realized I had to wait for her to graduate. I waited and suddenly I'm 20 shes 19 and we are heading to Edinboro University for our freshman year. Everything was perfect, we were in crazy love. We went and the first month was perfect. We were together all the time. Then something changed. She started disappearing on me. At first I just shook it off like she was trying to make friends cause I was doing the same thing, but on October 24th, 2008... I found out she was cheating on me. I cannot describe a more sickening feeling than finding out a girlfriend of 3 and half years is cheating on you... Its March of 09 and nothing has changed and recently heard this song.. I kind of wish I didn't because its almost how I feel. I don't stalk her but I think of us, and I said so many things I didn't mean when we broke up... I'm hopelessly in love and I can't find love because of her. It's terrible. |

| I'm able to stay composed throughout most of this song, occasionally having to fight back tears. But at the end when hes voice gets deeper and its just him and the piano I almost inevitably break down in tears... I still have yet to hear a song as powerful as this one. It seems songs about people dying have a lot of meaning to me. The only other song to move me to tears is Jimmy Eat World's "Hear You Me". Definitely a powerful emotional song to check out if you like this one. | |

the meaning of this song is obvious, timeless, and universal... a few months ago an emo band called Emery released a cover of this. I think its better then the original. It's absolutely breathtaking. They did everything perfectly and at the end of the song they have a surprise waiting for you.. listen to it and see for yourself what it is. |
