I love this song; it's one of my fav by NIN. I think the song is about a girl who is like many others in the world. She thinks she's worthless and ugly. But there is always a guy who thinks she's the best thing and feels bad for her 'cause she doesn't know how great she is and all that jazz. Now, in the song the man...has a problem and wants to help her but he needs to help himself too so it's kinda like they are going to run away together and escape all their problems. |

Personally, I love this song. Like many of Kyo's other songs it has some involvement of his mother. or a mother in general. I love his songs but i'm not sure if i would like them is they happend to be in english. They are rather random and obscure, which I have no problem with...if it's in Japanese lol. Well anywho, like I said before I love this song and Dir en Grey is one of my fav bands ^^. THANKS FOR THE TRANSLATION! |

urm well im probably wrong but i think that the song silver and cold might be about god...or religion in some ways. i am not a religious person but if you pay close attention to some of the lyrics and you know about the whole crusafiction thing then you can see the connection. most of the connection is in the chorous and in the "cold in life throws" part. i hope my view of the song can help some people and i hope that people agree with me lol. oh i almost forgot! my sister said that it also may be a vampyric song...i can see a connection to that point as well. |
