i was so pissed off when i heard this song (im a vegetarian) cuz i love nofx so it was dissappointing to me, but then i remembered in a more recent song, Franco-Unamerican, they say "I never thought about the universe, it made me feel small, never thought about the problems of this planet at all, global warming, radioactive sites, imperialistic wrongs and ANIMAL RIGHTS." they've changed since they said "dont waste your breath yelling at me about animal rights" haha |

i don't get what is so hard about understanding the meaning of the song title, but it looks like some ppl dont get it. it's like the separation of church and STATE but they said SKATE because they dont want punk (most "punks" stereotypically skate) to start being all moral and stuff. |

ok let me make this clear. "don't fuck" doesn't mean don't have sex before marriage. that wouldn't make sense because most "straight-edgers" are atheist or agnostic. it just means don't have casual sex. more info on straight edge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_edge
i also feel that it's stupid to have a label for that. i'm agnostic, vegetarian, dont do drugs, dont drink, dont smoke, dont have casual sex, and i was that way before i even knew what straight edge was. i got really excited at first that there is an actual name to describe me, but later i got over it and thought it was just weird to label yourself like that. |
