Kings of Leon – Milk Lyrics 20 years ago
Actually, I think this song's *full* of sexual innuendo.

'Salty leave' sounds like a pun on tears and semen. Milk sounds like the latter as well. 'Being school tardy'? What about not liking to rush the morning after? 'She'll loan you her toothbrush' if you haven't got one of your own... that being typical if it's a one-night stand. And taking generic stereotyping to the max, bartending hardly sounds like something a sweet, innocent girl would do, eh?

Ahh, what filthy minds these blokes have.

The Cure – Primary Lyrics 20 years ago
The chorus says it all, really. It's about how people change as they grow older, how they become wiser and more immune to being hurt, while young children still retain the capacity to be idealistic. My interpretation anyway. What I like best, though, is the fact that this song actually tells a story instead of trying to convey feeling via pure repetition.

Ahh, the bass in this song is amaaazing...

Ahem. Toughguybambino's right; it's about death as opposed to love, for a change (although some songs may mingle both), hence the reverent atmosphere and menlancholic lyrics.
'As all around the children play
The games they tired of yesterday'
Life's futility? Having to do the same things over and over again, until they die? Growing up whilst their elders grow old? I don't know...

The Cure – Cut Lyrics 20 years ago
I wouldn't say it was the best off Wish... although it's certainly one *of* the best. I'm surprised too that more people haven't commented. I think Wish is actually one of their better albums, in spite of the higher ratings Disintegration and Pornography usually get.

The lyrics here are really self-explanatory. A relationship that's gone stale. I'd ramble on about the significance of using ice, stone and fire that's gone out to describe the coldness between them, but any idiot's capable of noticing that and I'm not sure it would make any sense anyway.

The Cure – Lullaby Lyrics 20 years ago
It's funny how upbeat the song actually is, in contrast with the title and lyrics. It's hardly something you'd sing your kids to sleep with, is it? Although I probably would. Get 'em hooked on The Cure early...
What was I saying? Oh yes.
I'm just going to mindlessly repeat what people have been saying already. Smith *originally* wrote it based on nightmares, but hypnotism, drugs and child-abuse could easily fit into that category.
