well let's see, "It's time for you to choose the bullet or the chap stick" to me, a bullet is something that hurts, and it could be like telling the truth... so maybe the guy wants to hear what the girl is doing, and it may hurt him, so hence talking a bullet. and the chapstick part, might just be to keep her lips shut. i mean, as a nerous reaction people do reach for their chapstick... or maybe it could be the guy told the girls boyfriend look she's been cheating on you.... and when they turn to the girl, she can choose to tell her side or she can just sit there.... and also "This is me in his room" maybe thye set it up so the girl can walk in and find both her boyfriend and lover in the room and confront her about cheating... "Go tell him how my wrist is sore from pulling at your insides all night" could be taken two ways, the first way sexaul which i need not to explain... and then the second way would be (yeah emo) but slitting his wrists becuase of what this girl did to him, and "pulling out her insides" would be trying to figure out what going on in her head... so either: a) this song is about him finding out his girlfriend is cheating on him and he finds out or b) he's screwing around with this girl that has a boyfriend, and he goes and tells the boyfriend... i feel like it's more towards letter b... anyone else think so? |

this song means to me that he just asked her to marry her... "we sealed the deal in the parking lot with a kiss" he just loves everything about her... no matter what her mood is... calm and soothing like a sunset, or violent like a hurricane... "And I collapsed to the grass with the notes ringing in my head, Let the rain form a mouth and in a couple hours I'll be dead, But all the while my lips are whistling our tune But the beauty lies in how you will revive me soon" some people think that line is about a car crash, but i beg to differ... it seems like he's having some trouble, like something bad happen, but all he can think about is her love... and even though how bad it may be... she'll be there soon to save him... and help him get through his problems. she is his support that is what it seems like, i really don't feel like it's abotu car crash and dying, i feel like the line "Now tell me this, do you know how we meet?" wouldn't be in the song is the couple were dying... or even breaking up... just because the song has the name "sunsets and crashes" doesnt mean it's actaully about a car crash at sunset... the cd is called sunsets and car crashes, and pretty much the cd is about good times and bad times... so that's why i feel the song isn't about a carcrash... |

i feel like "when it rains" is a metaphor for something... through the first verse i think it is like gossip... you know. "when it rains on this side of town it touches everything." maybe a guy cheated on a girl, she found out, becuase everyone knows... "take these chances to turn it around. take these chances, we'll make it somehow" seems like they are trying to make it through... "I never saw it coming. how could you do it?I need an ending. so why can't you stay just long enough to explain? you can take your time, take my time. " she jsut wants to know the story, where they stand, and what's going on... to me, it makes sense that it's abou hceating... except for the second verse it throws me off a bit... |

i find it somewhat odd that the lyrics are meant how he hates how people jumped on the bandwagon, about how he hates the newer fans, the MTV crowd or whatever you want to call it... but thats who the song appeals too... it doesnt appeal to the ones that have take this to your grave or an evening out with your girlfriend. (why? listen to an evening out with your girlfriend and you'll understand) FOB has come a long way, making their music more appealing than it started out as. and i do agree that this song would be heard in a club, it seems that FOB is trying to make their fan base larger, even though they trash it. i dont think that is right |

without a doubt it is an invisible monster reference "Watch your mouth, your speech is slurred enough that you might swallow your tongue" the main charactor gets her face shot off, and becuase of it, her "speech is slurred" and "Or was it god who chokes in these situations, running late? No no, he called in, he called in" is all about how god "changes the channels" through out the book. |
