I agree with henna hippie. This song is so sad. I may be soft but I almost cried the first time I heard it!! To me it's about how he can't take the pain of the fighting in the relationship, but "we're still burning. Just hold on til the end" tells me that he doesn't want to lose her because there's still love amongst the pain. "I try not to lose, but I try so hard to show to you" says he doesn't want to lose her but he can't make her see how he's hurting. "How long can I wait here?" is like saying "I'll suffer to be with you." "Hold on to the end" is like "I need you". This song means a lot to me. It's very deep and I love it, along with other Fightstar songs. I hope they keep working at it. |

I love this song, especially the part where they talk at the same time. To me this song is about him knowing that she's going to leave him soon because they want different things. She wants to talk and he wants to get it on. "When I'm trying hard to communicate" tells me that he's tried talking to her but it doesn't seem to get through because he can't express how he feels. He's waiting for her to leave, but at the same time he's desperate for her to stay hence, "I'll be searching on......I'll find you" I may be way off track, but this is what it means to me. He's saying what he can't say to her. Any other ideas?? |
