The great thing about this song is coz it is just about finding that thing to make you happy, It is not just about love which is shown when he said "You'll find it in the words of others
A simple line can make you laugh or cry" it can be anything as long as it make you feel like your Flying without wings!!
Also that It's from an Irish Band, C'mon Ireland!!
Oh and i also have Rubens version which is not a patch on westlifes, it is terrible! |

No they are not at all!! & i have to say i totally DISagree with planetvalerina and agree with wee amanda! The song is not about how weel you know someone"When I grew up with my best friend Kenny
We were close as any brothers than you ever knew" hw wud not make such a strong reference to their relationship to say he never knew him and was let down by him!!
The song is about not being able to escape the past & bad things that has happend!! The last line clearly shows this when he ses "But I can see her rising up out of the back seat now" although she has left him and he is alone again he will always have her in the back of his mind, he uses the car as a methaphor for life!! |

the title is not self explanitory compared to the lyrics, It is the total opposite. It shows that no matter how many people try talk about Love explain Love be prepared for what love holds and you can see this when she says
" I swore my heart would never mend,Said love wasn't worth the pain, But then I hear it call my name" and
"Every time I turn around, I think I've got it all figured out" But really you never can figure it out no matter how many times you have been hurt or watever the case.
So although people think the song is called The trouble with love is....
It's actually The trouble with Love is?

I used this song in my leaving cert because it is such a sad song and i new it would catch the corrcters eye. I think this is about someone who was let down all his life and no matter how far he thinks the past is behind it's always stuck close (hence the title) Throughout the song he is running away and being let down and the sad thing about this song is that at the end he is still bein let down as the girl leaves him. Great song!! |

Ok i can't say i agree with the prostitute, but it good to hear other ideas. What i think this song is about is someone who has been insecure all his life & has never been with anyone "Maybe I'm lonely
And that's all I'm qualified to be" to me this shows that. i think he has always loved this girl but could never bring himself to talk to her untill the end when he finally does. I think if you watch the video it shows this best through a beauty and the beast kinda story where he has always watched her from afar but never done anything about it until the end & i think the beast is how he seen himself but when you see at the end she rubs his face & shows him himself for what he really is, which isn't ugly and horrible.
That just my opinion but i think it's right :-) |

Samborafp is right, but i see where you all get the long distance for! He played around alot and the lyrics "I want to lay you down on a bed of roses
For tonite i sleep on a bed of nails" is a methaphor for comparing sleeping with other women as sleeping in a bed of nails and with her it's a bed of roses. and in the lyrics "tonite, i wont be alone.... means although he will be with someone else it won't be the same coz they are using him for the "spotlight" when all he really want's id her! |
