this song is about how life is so difficult sometimes it feels like drug addiction is the only way to survive but that ends up being no good either, and wanting to die and knowing you will. "Ain't got no quarrels with God Ain't got no time to grow old Lord knows I'm weak Won't somebody get me off this reef? I got a gun" I think that's talking about wanting to die. this song also seems to be expressing a strong urge to find help even though he can't. it's really sad. |

rodney king was just an example of how our society turns a blind eye to the mistreatment of the lower class. this song even says that these kind of beatings happen all the time, not just to rodney. this song is about how all these people were fed up with having such a low quality of life so they raged against society and took what they needed, it gives me such an adrenaline rush to listen to. 187 is defintily the police code for murder. |

this song is puzzling but fascinating. Pavlov is the guy who did experiments on dogs, he would always ring a bell when he fed them and then eventually he'd notice that just ringing the bell would make them salivate even without food present. i can't for the life of me figure out how the stanza about pavlov's daughter relates to the rest of the song. who is lucille? ah well, i like it anyway. |

| this song is so beautiful, his voice is so amazing and full of feeling. he uses stories about random people to tell us about life. i think the strawberry wine is just beautiful stuff you get lost in that leaves you lonely, its a very melancholy song but in a beautiful way. | |

I think this song is kind of about being in love with a mermaid (sea people). But at the same time it's a metaphor for love in reality. Life, when it's hard, can be a lot like drowning. But when you look into the eyes of your love, you can breathe in water. However, when they say goodbye... your lungs ache filled with water. That's just my take on it. |
