I think this song is about a married guy telling his female friend that he is attracted to her, wants her and even has some love for her. The singer doesn't make it clear until he repeatedly yet hesitantly says..."Maybe I....Maybe I .....Mabye IIIIIIII....I'm not so easily stung....Maybe I, I got some love for someone." In the beginning of the song you think he's talking about the love he has for his wife but when he hesitates & repeats with the Maybe I's (you must listen carefully as it's subtle) you know he obviously has love for another woman. The last verse is confusing because it could mean that even though he believes he's not the one for her love he will still "do" (f***) her ("I'll be the do that you do."). Or It could also mean that that he will be strong and do the moral thing and she has no choice but to follow. Confusing but awesome song!!! |
