My girlfriend father was an alcoholic and throughout her childhood her mother and father separated numerous time only to have her mother return to him. The house was always a broken home and as was tradition in this old wealthy family all children were sent of to boarding school in year 7. This song reminds me of my partners situation because while she hates her father she still cant help the fact that he has so similar features, predominately her eyes. Like many children who grew up with alcoholic fathers she often drinks to much and parties hard, as a form of escape. while her relationship with her mother remains very strong, he mother has hurt her and her siblings greatly aswell by not expressing her feeling and holding everything inside leading to depression. |

Australia is a capitalist society; whereabouts people strive in life for success. The current liberal commonwealth government whilst making many large mistakes (Eg. Iraq) has put this country in possibly the best economical situation it has been in. We enjoy a high standard of life and this is due to many factors but largely the strength of our economy. University fee’s is a delegate situation, making pointless and irrelevant arguments only creates new problems. I’m amazed people who can only think up racist, unintelligent arguments could even achieve an ENTER worth University acceptance. I find it disgraceful that fellow Anglo- Australians believes it is acceptable to express racist views in our Multi cultural society. Having lived in a boarding house in a famous Australian Boy’s school I have learnt the value of acceptance of other religions and race’s something obviously people such as “Loose Tonque” have not. So “WAKE UP”. Gr8 song btw and I don’t think it deals with anything about what I have just spoken. |
