could it possibly be about losing virginity?
"One night of magic rush
the start: a simple touch
one night to push and scream
and then relief
ten days of perfect tunes
the colours red and blue " |

| Marilyn Manson – The Bright Young Things Lyrics

i think this song is kinda mocking mansons fans. manson is quite mainstream and so when kids go through that phase where they think they should rebel, quite a lot try to turn themselves into little marilyn mansons because they want to get noticed.
does anyone else ever get the impression that manson laughs at his own fans? |

how can they criticise the rich and famous? they arent exactly poor are they?
'theyre always compaining'
'i read it in the magazines/ celebrities who want sympathy'
has anyone ever read an interview with good charlotte where they havent been whinging about their dad leaving and how hard it was for them. lots of peoples parents leave them. do you see them all writing shitty and hypocritical songs about it? |

| Marilyn Manson – Long Hard Road Out Of Hell Lyrics

i think this song is about doing something then regretting what the consequences might be ' its a long hard road out of hell'. i think it's about getting into something (like selling your soul) then thinking that you might not be able to get out of it. you want to be one thing but your conscience is telling you not to. |

saw him supporting alkaline trio and it was amazing the response he got from the audience even though he was a totally different act from what people would have expected. he played an accoustic guitar and had a slide show about asian role models and stereotypes. |

i think this is about someone who is waiting for someone he thinks he really loves but really he has exaggerated this person in his head so that they sound better than they actually are(yesterday you told me bout the blue blue sky). Because he is so wrapped up in waiting for this person he doesnt notice how isolated he has become. Thats why all he can see is just a yellow lemon tree. |

i think this song is kinda about growin up and having to let go of some things in order to do that but sometimes it leaves you feeling worse than what you have grown up from. Hence why he is feeling lost. |

it probably does have a much deeper meaning but to me this song is about when you take time out to think and look around you like when you're the passenger in a car. |

| Marilyn Manson – Disposable Teens Lyrics

'the more that you fear us/ the bigger we get' i think those lines are talking about how when he had a show coming up in certain places in america, local authorities would try to get it cancelled because they thought manson posed as a threat to teenages. The more the shows were attempted to be cancelled, the more people would go to see them. At least that's what i think. It may say something like that in his book but i'm not sure. |
