you've got a few things wrong with the lyrics: "tears are wiped from my face" "i wanna kiss your lips, but i kiss your cheek" "wrap me in sleep WITH a blanket of ghosts" and i love this song the second i heard it i related to it. its about the same problem i have, when is it the right time to do something you want? especially the kissing part. its a difficult feeling to explain(as he says in the first line). it has everything to do with choices. i dont truly understand the last part of the song, and how it relates to the topic though. |

the entire song is about feeling down, life's lows, and asking god to help him see it through. however one part of the song is somewhat different: "I've grown sick and tired of trying to stand still I've learned to let the wind pull me where it will" i am guessing, he is using the wind as conformity. he has tried to go against what everyone else is doing, but now he is conforming. also, "Throw myself into the will of the wait I can never be great 'til we're free" talks about liberty. |

notice the colors that he uses, "white for clutching my pride, red from cutting you, and blue from telling lies" I don't think its just coincidence that he uses red, white, and blue, he is specifically describing being american. |

I don't think he means blue light, as in tv....I think he specifically means a false truth. In another song by thrice, "kill me quickly" the lyrics specify color associations, "white from clutching my pride, red from cutting you, and blue from telling lies". So I think he is talking about the media "telling lies" |
