an uncommented stars song???! : o "That night Under the vineyard sky We kissed and the world cried As we hit descend and reached the end" favourite part. i still can't help but see a link to a lover's relationship.. maybe the guy is trying to prove to the girl that the relationship is real, and it's not going to go away, so just fall in love already: "So young/Deep in our hearts we knew/All I've been telling you is true". i'm taking guesses here. maybe someone knows something about the places they're talking about?? |

i've always heard "hard rock god" instead of kurt cobain too. people seem to only be talking about a couple of the lyrics. are we forgetting the amazingness of: "Sometimes the TV is like a lover Singing softly as you fall asleep You wake up in the morning and it's still there Adding up the things you'll never be" i love how stars song's meanings are never toooo deep, and easily readable. but then every once and awhile, there's a part that means just a little more. [as i discover reading everyone else's interpertations and seeing parts i over-looked, such as the "turning ankle in the snow" part.] i always see the canadaian in them too, and this is my top 3 most played song on my iPod. : D i also get chills from amy's voice. : ) |

i think this song has a lot to do with empty sex. and how both people don't actually like eachother, they just like the physical, empty feeling it. "a lover you don't have to love", if you will. i'm curious to know how the poem at the beggining ties in, too. i get the same vibes as the rest of you. really, this whole album is amazing. i think it really ties in with the empy, lonely, miserable 100% city life concept. everyone needs a little nature. |

this song is like a lrelationship ending. i connect to this song well. the girl is leaving the guy for another man. with the guy heartbroken, he tries to fight the other man for taking his girl. it was hard for the girl to move on, but she thinks shes traded up. in the end the guy tells her "its really over now, you better feel relieved" i love how stars songs usually tell a story. |
