The music for this song is intense. I love the beat and the guitar and the way he sings it. Everything is perfect. I don't know why more people haven't commented. For me it reminds me of those times you are flooded with memories at night right before you go to bed. Finally when you lay down to rest after a hectic day and you can't get away from the things that plague you during the day. Every problems is magnified because it's preventing you from the very peace you long for all day. I heard the world up, late night... |

I love the line "i need to bled dry to quit" meaning that this guy is some sort of addicting that she needs a blood transfusion to get him out of her system. Intense imagery. Also, I don't think the line "that signature thing that used to bring a following, i have trouble now even remembering..." is not referring to her being under-pressure in the music industry but more simply about this guy. There was something about this guy that made her interested "the following" but now that she's gone back she forgets what that allure about him was. I do have a question tho, I am having troubling in getting the reference about "deep in dutch" is that referring to the "going dutch" when both ppl pay for something cause if that's true, this guy is even more of an ass if he won't even pay for her. Wow. Excellent song. I thiNK i answered my own question. lol |

| The Beatles – Got to Get You Into My Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |

It's a love song about Paul and his undying love for the trees/pot. I mean, once again, however, Paul disguises this song so well that it could be interpreted however you damn well please. It could easily be about someone you need to have you life everyday but in the same instance (and it turns out to be the real intepretation) is that he is excited about his new found love for pot and how it makes him feel. Meanwhile, as us drunken college kids soon found out, and soon sang about, our love for the brewsky. Im sure Paul would be proud. |

Everyone who said this song is about Paul's mother Mary is correct. Paul wrote this about his mother who comes to him in his dreams and tells him that everything is going to be ok. Basically, because Paul lost his mother at such young age, he still seeks out her encouragement through hard times. Basiacally, it relates to everyone's need to be told that "everything is going to get better, just relax." This song is my favorite Beatle song, only because of the message that it provokes in me. My friend and I had a huge discussion about how it's a very discouraging song because he says "There will be an answer, Let It Be" and she says that this is like we have no control over our situations in life so we can't do anything to change them. I see that interpretation, however, I sense a more optimistic message in the song. Despite the melancoly music. I think it's saying, things get tough, yes, and sometimes you can't do much to change them, yes, but don't get worked up over things, Let It Be. The answers will come to u eventually. There is a answer if you search for it and maybe, when you least expect it, you will find it. Paul left this song up to much interpretation, as he does for most of his songs, sort of an auto-biographical song that isn't. That's what's amazing about it. A lot of ppl see religious ties into this song. Of course, ever since I was young I thought MOther Mary was the virgin mary and even now, I feel like it's not necessarily catholic based religious but it's definitely faith based and believing in something higher than yourself. It reminds me of the Serenity Prayer a little. I love it and it really is my "motto" for a lot of things in life. Let It Be. |
