See I have to disagree, I think this song also leads back to Tim armstrong. Because like I said Coral fang came out and Im sure was written around the time they divorce, okay Im a big fan of TD I analyze brodys lyrics deeply and here is my reason why I think it leads back to them. Ok: "The first verse" Obviously we all know the reason they split was because she was cheating... But she knows she did something wrong, and she didnt want it to happen, so she is back down at his feet beggin him to stay. Okay the scent of you is bliss well thats obvoius! Just read the lyrics carfully and you will understand, and at the end of the song you hear brody say I confess, I miss you. Plus hold on to your memory its all you got, i know that you will be there to soak of blood lost, as in Josh Homme will be there for her. Well thats my conclusion! c - ya |

This song is just amazing, Thats what I love about Brody she doesnt give the song away in the first verse you really ahve to think about it to understand it. Granted it is not a love song, but as I recall Coral fang was written around the time her and Armstrong were having problems and lead them to their divorce. Alot of the songs lead back to Armstrong but I think this song is about her Divorce with him and her new love for Homme. I.E."let alone to rust alone" as in to be alone forever and never find love again. "baby you make my heart beat faster" = Josh Homme. " Had to run the damage is done, I had to give it up" as in cheating on Tim, she felt bad and knew that their was no Im sorry and then just forget it So she had to go. Okay well to sum this up to me the song has alittle to do with Love and Breaking up |
