double whammy here. 1. my name is sarah, so i love that. 2. i had to watch one of my best freinds named sarah die at the hospital when she had cancer. the message is uplifting. listen to it. when i heard it the day i bought the CD when it came out, i cried, listened again, and cried somemore. this so is just... a breath of fresh air, like a relif, like this song is taking away the greif. it speaks to me, like whoa. |

i think this song is about someone somewhere were they dont really belong, or dont feel like they belong where they are. when i hear it, its like someone is going to a high in shindig with fancy drinks and foods and entertainment, feeling alone and trying to fit in and relizing they cant. as they realize that this means nothing to them, they secretly wish that they were back home with their freinds and family where they can act and do as they wants, where there are no limits, no poeple to impress, and no awkward moments. in a way this reminds me of my life...exactly and perfectly, and everytime i hear this song i want to run back to my old freinds and give up the fine life. |

i think weird. ...and that's how this idea was drilled into my head cause it's too important to stay the way it's been there's no blame for how our love did slowly fade and now that it's gone it's like it wasn't there at all and here i rest where disappointment and regret collide lying awake at night... is almost like hes formulating a plan to get her back, like he wants to change the past. ...the glove compartment isn't accurately named and everybody knows it. so i'm proposing a swift orderly change... that part is like what 245am said, its his memories and he wants to change them from memories he remebers with regret to memories that he can look back at with happiness. its almost like a pointlessly hopeful song whose plan will fail, rather than a sad breakupsong. |

i have a werid way of looking at things. when i hear it, i feel like im waking up on a cold winters morn, snowy, in the mountians- the moutains and the sky, both shining white with a lack of color- and right as i go though my front door, skis in hand, the first thing i do is tumble down my front steps and on my back in a pile of snow, and im looking upside down. of course that has nothing to do with love, but it certainly makes the song seem a little less depressing and a little bit more heartwarming. death cab can do no wrong. |
