What's great is that you have to imagine when this song was released: 1970. Now imagine all the bands around in that era; Cream, Hendrix, Led Zep, and so on. Which is the odd one out out of all these bands? Sabbath, as they are the only one (and first one) singing about Satan! All bands up to this point had sang about lovely stuff and such, but Sabbath came along, being louder then pretty much everyone else, being heavier, flattening the fifth, so to speak, and singing about Satan taking over the Earth. Fantastic.. I'd say it's my favorite Sabbath song. |

To me, it sounds more like Lucifer tempting someone (possibly Jesus in the desert), although the idea of him falling in love is a good one. |

Although, Ddadutta, many Black metal artists use bad production on purpose, simply to add to that "gritty" feel. At first some artists did it because they didn't have enough money for better production, now however it's done a lot (as Mayhem, for example, will have tons of money) simply to make the whole album sound more dreary :) |

It was mentioned in last month's 'Metal Hammer' magazine. Corey said their album has a long way to go, but they are changing the theme of their music a lot. The few demo's of their music can be found on the Roadrunner website, their website, and other Metal websites found on google. These were song's that they made in their spare time away from other bands, and are likly to be changed drasticly before the final album is made. They are in the very early stages. |

I thought it was about killing someone. you are soo obsessed with killing them, but you have tried so hard to hold yourself back, but eventually your hate for them has taken over. You are "Losing your mind" When you do something liek that, all might seem a bit of a blur, what with trying to hide the evidence, thus 'its bluring its fading' etc. etc. The getting to the right, getting to the wrong bit at the beginnig is about trying to convince yourself you shouldnt kill him, then the wrong bit is your 'evil half' or 'evil concience' trying to conviced you you cant hold back. People who have such problems may end up doing drugs to sooth the pain or take your mind of him, hence the "Getting High" bit... by the end of the song, where everything is blurring, fading, and flickering, everything is a blur in his eyes, as he gives into his darker side, and kills whoever...... well thats my interpretationa at least |

If you translate the lyrics you will see that its about a girl, that he wants but he cant get. he refers to her as the sun, or the star, 'and she will never fall down from the sky', meaning he will never have her |
